THE COFFEE QUESTION

I personally never need a reason to include coffee in my life, but maybe you are considering your wedding budget and wondering if coffee really falls into the necessary column. If you feel unsure read on and let us elaborate on all the reasons why coffee should not be left out of your wedding day.

As we all know coffee is the cool kid at the moment, the one everyone wants around, the one that adds instant cool points just for being there. So if you consider yourself a trend setter and you like to follow the fashion, then you really can't be caught without coffee at your wedding. It makes your big day even more special by adding its unique flavour and works at creating a very modern touch. So if you are trendy and looking to be different at your wedding (aren't we all) then a coffee station is the right choice for you.

Coffee is a substance that is always appreciated and when placed in a wedding environment, that appreciation grows exponentially. Weddings are long drawn out affairs and whilst they are largely fun they certainly have many moments of standing around and waiting so why wouldn't you fill those moments with coffee. It will give your guests a great pick me up and make them feel cared for and considered. Especially while you are off having your photos taken.

The great thing about coffee is that it contains caffeine, that wonderful substance that takes you from bad day to best day in just a few short sips. So it makes complete sense to supply your guests with this life juice. It will get them chatting and laughing and in high spirits and keep their energy up all through the evening into the wee hours of the morning and right through all those classic dance moves.

You are actually conducting humanitarian work by having coffee at your wedding, as coffee is known to improve certain  health issues. Woman who drink four cups of coffee a day are less likely to suffer from depression, so you will certainly be putting your female guests in a good mood and as the saying goes "happy wife, happy life" meaning you will also subsequently be making your male guests happy too. Coffee also helps burn fat, so you will really be doing your guests a big favor by providing them with copious amounts to help them burn off all the delicious food you are giving them. Another health benefit of coffee is that it is good for your liver and weddings are often the place where lots of alcohol is consumed. Therefore coffee is the perfect anti-dote to counter act the harmful effects of alcohol on the liver. You see having coffee at your wedding is in fact the responsible choice, because you are looking out for the well being of your guests.

It's undeniable that coffee should be high up on the list of must haves at any wedding. From bringing the cool factor and adding something quirky to keeping your guests going and caring for their health, coffee is the indisputable champion.

WHAT TYPE OF COFFEE BRIDE ARE YOU

When choosing a mobile coffee station for your wedding, the type of station you choose can say a lot about you as a bride and about the wedding you are planning to have.

Maybe you think a food truck trailer is kind of cool or an ornate bar floats your boat or maybe it's that quirky little pushcart that gets you excited, there's no right answer. As long as there is coffee that's all that really matters.

Food trucks are a huge craze at the moment especially trendy old-school ones that remind us nostalgically of the past. They are reminiscent of New York street vendors and are most often found at music or other festivals. But of course that doesn't mean you can't have one at your wedding to serve your favorite coffee beverages. They look cool and they make people remember the good old days, which most of your guests probably didn't even live through, but it ignites in people a feeling of warmth and love of a simpler time and that's certainly going to be creating a great vibe at your wedding. If you are leaning towards having a food truck coffee station at your wedding this can tell us one of two things about you as a bride. One: you are a hipster and love that the latest trends are bringing back that which is long forgotten. You are likely to be dealing in kraft paper, mustaches and braces. Or two: you're a party girl who is used to enjoying life at music festivals and other fun events and you are wanting to include this in your wedding. You have probably already booked an awesome dj and lighting and will likely be having a fun photobooth and send off sparklers. Maybe even a couple of glow sticks will get thrown into the mix.

There are however no rules when it comes to weddings and maybe the nostalgic look just isn't for you. Perhaps you prefer the more traditional, elegant and classic wedding. But that is certainly no reason not to include a coffee bar. There are many options when it comes to setting up a bar and it really just depends on the overall look  of your wedding. Two popular choices are the sleek and chic modern bar or the ornate and opulent bar.

If you are opting for sleek and chic this probably means you are looking at having a more modern wedding, but you are not willing to throw tradition out the window. You want your wedding to be current, but without having to break away from the traditional idea of weddings as classy, elegant affairs. At your wedding we are likely to find lots of white, fairy lights and cursive font.

If you are more inclined to having the opulent bar, chances are everything at your wedding will be big, fancy and ornate. You are far more likely to stick with the traditional imagery of a high class wedding and it's very feasible to expect to find draping, chandeliers, massive floral arrangements adorning your venue and you in a ball gown wedding dress.

There is however another less classic take on setting up a bar for coffee at your wedding and that's to go for the wooden bar and create a rustic look. If this idea appeals to you the rest of your wedding is likely to include mason jars, hessian and wooden crates.

If you still haven't found what you are looking for in terms of your wedding coffee setup then perhaps it is the push cart that you have in mind. The smallest and most maneuverable of the wedding coffee stations, push carts tend to be cute and quirky. It makes me think of ferris wheels and candy floss at the fair. If you are choosing a pushcart for your wedding coffee the rest of your wedding is likely to feature cute hand made items, a candy buffet and bubbles for confetti.

There's a wide array of options when it comes to setting up a coffee station at your wedding and it's entirely up to you as to what kind of wedding you want and this will dictate what the best coffee setup will be for you special day.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BREWED

One of the great trends that has come about over recent years is having coffee at weddings. Whether you go for an elaborate bar set up, a food van or just a simple push cart, coffee is sure to add a tasteful touch to your wedding.

Winter weddings are great for coffee stations, there is nothing better than having a lovely hot drink in hand on a chilly winter day. And just like us many mobile coffee suppliers offer other warm drinks such as hot chocolate, tea and maybe even something with a sneaky shot of alcohol. It's sure to warm your guests' hearts when all these wonderful beverages are on offer, especially when you are off getting your photos taken and the guests need something to do. Convo and coffee always go hand in hand.

Of course if you are having a morning wedding then coffee is just the thing you need to wake up your guests and get them amped for your celebrations. There's nothing quite like that first cup of coffee in the morning and your guests will be only too grateful to you for supplying them with their morning staple. And because it's in the morning, and presumably you won't be having copious amounts of alcohol, coffee is a great substitute.

But that certainly doesn't mean that you can't have coffee at your wedding if it's in summer or any other season for that matter. And when it comes to time of day , what time isn't a great time for a cup of joe. Having a cup of coffee as the sun sets on a warm afternoon creates a perfect moment, but if you are having your wedding at the height of summer and the day is an absolute scorcher coffee can still make an appearance in the form of a delicious and soothing ice coffee.

Coffee of course also offers that cool factor. Any hipster will tell you they live on coffee, tight pants and sarcasm. It's the in thing to enjoy coffee and it's certainly one of the best things to reach trend status in a long time. So if you are having a bit of a hipster affair with vintage props and kraft paper, chalk boards and moustaches then you are certainly going to have to invite coffee.

The great thing about coffee is that it loves everyone not just the cool kids, so no matter whether you are having a hipster wedding, an elegant affair or a DIY union, coffee is always going to be a fantastic option to add an extra bit of caffeine magic.
